Year 1 and 2 experienced recycling in action, making recycled paper. It was messy work but so much fun!
Year 2 were very lucky with the weather and it was a gloriously sunny afternoon for their extended Forest School session during the Earthwyz Festival. After hot dogs and corn on the cob, they baked bananas over the fire before enjoying an afternoon of activities in the woods.
The Nursery children thoroughly enjoyed their special Forest School session during the Earthwyz Festival, especially the hot chocolate around the fire!
The Reception children didn’t let a spot of rain spoil their extended Forest School session. There is nothing better than a bit of fresh air to build up an appetite, and after some hedge planting we were ready for lunch. Hotdogs, corn on the cob and hot chocolate in the woods was a real treat.
We reused old plastic milk bottles to build an igloo-like structure. The Reception children were amazed how many of them could fit in it! Many thanks to Mrs Batty for all her help.
