This morning, the Pre-Prep welcomed Nick Bourne to join us for our exciting cycle event. In the Autumn of 2015, Hazlegrove parent Nick Bourne cycled across Africa, from Cairo to Cape Town, completing the ride in just 38 days to raise money for The Safari Simbaz Educational Centre and we are hugely grateful for his support in organising and running today’s event.
The children were invited to bring their tricycles, balance bikes, scooters or bicycles in to school and take part in an obstacle course and even a mountain bike route through our beautiful woods.
Due to the kind generosity of our wonderful families, the Pre-Prep children have currently raised a staggering £300, all of which will be donated to The Safari Simbaz Educational Centre to support children in disadvantaged communities in Kenya.
May I extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the morning such a success; to all of the staff who guided the children around the course, to all of the families who were able to come and cheer the children on and to the children themselves who were brilliant on their bikes!
Hazlegrove Pre-Prep children are happy children…
