Year 1 children visited Fitzjames to see their poppies

Year 1 children visited the Fitzjames building today to see the poppy collage.

Over half-term we sent home poppy making kits and have been thrilled with how many poppies have been made. These have now been assembled to create an absolutely stunning 7 metre long collage, which is hanging in Fitzjames. Do pop in and have a look next time you are at a school event. The white crosses commemorate the 28 men connected with Hazlegrove, who died in WW1, WW2 and Afghanistan. The quote is a line from ‘Everyone Sang’ by Siegfried Sassoon.
