This term we are learning about dinosaurs, so what better way to start the topic than by going on a dinosaur hunt! Not long after entering the woods we soon discovered some dinosaur tracks. Quietly and carefully we followed them and to our amazement they led us to three dinosaur eggs! Fearing for the safety of these eggs, we set about making a nest to keep them warm and protected until the time comes for them to hatch. We hope we see the baby dinosaurs next time we are in the woods.
In the classroom we learnt about Mary Anning and the important role she played in helping us develop a better understanding of what dinosaurs looked like. We also made our own “fossils” using clay.
