A busy week in the classroom for Reception including a trip to Wells Cathedral

It has been an incredibly busy week in the Reception class.
On Monday Mr Stok (Hands on History) came to visit, bringing with him Roman helmets and shields as well as medieval knight’s helmets, swords and chain mail. We were able to hold all of the objects, allowing us a better understanding of how heavy the armour and weapons were. Click here to read the full report.

Then on Thursday we visited Wells Cathedral. We were given a guided tour and shown many of the features within the Cathedral. In the classroom we have had fun spelling and reading silly monster names as well as using our senses to explore herbs in play dough and drawing chalk dragons.
In Forest School we began to make Christmas decorations and helped woodland creatures build houses to hibernate in.
