Year 1 meet Marky, a Guide Dog for the Blind

Year 1 met marvellous “Marky” and his owner, Alex, from the charity Guide Dogs for the Blind. Alex, who has a life changing visual impairment, told us all about how his life was transformed by his four legged friend. He told us all about how Marky helps him do everyday jobs like going to the shops or bank and crossing the road. The children (and staff) were left spellbound by his story.

Thanks to the generosity and hard work of parents and children in Year 1, we raised £120.00 with a cake sale in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind. This money will help to raise another dog which will one day change another life in Somerset.
