Year 1 and Year 2 found Mr Stok’s accounts of WW1 fascinating

WW1 was brought to life through the many artefacts Mr Stok brought to Hazlegrove on Wednesday. The children had a hands on history lesson full of information that was enhanced by these objects from the first world war.

Florence H – ‘I had to wear the big belt with pockets. It was heavy’
Freddie – ‘I liked passing round things to look at’
James – ‘I like looking at the gas mask’
Florence  W – ‘The helmets were cool!’
Zach – ‘I liked going to the trench and listening to Mr Stok tell us  about all the soldiers and animals in the war’
Olivia – ‘We got to try things on and some were so heavy’
