Reception loved the honey in Forest School!

The Reception children had their first Forest School lesson this morning. Having spent a week of their minibeast topic focusing on bees, Mrs Millard showed the children the difference between a bumble fee, a honey bee and a wasp.

They were then in for such a treat as Mrs Millard had brought over a honeycomb from one of the hives at school.  The children examined the structure of a honeycomb and very much enjoyed tasting some of the honey.

In class they have been learning lots of information about bees and have painted their own bee pictures.
