Year 1 visited Stourhead on a cool Spring day, but luckily the weather stayed dry for them! In the morning they visited St Martin’s Church at Zeals as part of their R. E. work. Rev. Perryman was there to welcome them to this beautiful building and the children were delighted when he played the organ especially for them. They also thoroughly enjoyed sketching some of the special features of the church. After lunch they followed the paths and walked all the way round the lake, looking for signs of spring and enjoying all the beautiful sights along the way. They made a collection of natural things along their journey, admired the plants and trees, explored the Grotto, and finally climbed up the hill through the Rock Arch to find the Temple of Apollo and a truly wonderful view!
