Nursery woodland fun

The Nursery children have had an exciting start to the school year exploring their new ‘Woodland’ topic. They have enjoyed acting out the stories of Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks and made porridge in the woods.

We have talked about woodland animals and birds, the children loved watching clips of owls on the Internet and made collage owls.

We took a number of kitchen utensils to the woods and made beautiful music singing our “Grey Squirrel” song and playing our instruments.

There are so many sounds to be heard outside at Hazlegrove if you just take a moment to stop and listen, some of the children did some lovely paintings.
