Printed Houses

Year 1 have been enjoying the magic of relief printing. They each made a simple collage of a house, gluing card on to a “printing plate”. The plate was then inked with a roller and using a dry roller, paper was pressed on to the surface to produce a print. The children were delighted with their prints which are known as collagraphs.

Amelia loved the sound the roller made in the ink. Marley said “It’s like lots of little bees buzzing together.”
